January 21, 2012 marks the 12th year of collaboration between the chamber music group The Record Players and the Judith K. Record Memorial Conservation Fund in bringing together people who find inspiration and beauty through music and nature.

The Record Players are distinguished local musicians in support of land conservation. They include Andrea Mason Nolin on flute; Colin Davis, violin; Ray Jackendoff, clarinet; Kenneth Stalberg, viola; and Sarah Freiberg, cello. These accomplished professional musicians have principalships and affiliations with such Boston institutions as the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, and the Handel and Haydn Society. Visit ww.therecordplayers.com to sample their music.

Generous individual and corporate sponsorships of the concert, as well as donations at the door, support the Fund's ongoing efforts to assist the Town in protecting its conservation land, including 88 acres in the Town of Belmont recently named Lone Tree Hill. The Fund provides grant money for special projects such as improvement of the trail system and signage. A JKR Fund project to rebuild the stone wall along Concord Avenue is in the works.

Tax deductible gifts may be made to Mass Audubon/JKR  Fund, P.O. Box 79138, Belmont, MA 02478. All proceeds from the concert go to the Fund’s endowment managed by Mass Audubon.
