Gentle Dental Pledges 500 Meals to Local Families in Need

Gentle Dental is on a mission to provide every person in New England with a healthy, confident smile. Usually those smiles are provided in the dental office through expert, award winning dental care. But this holiday season, Gentle Dental is extending their mission beyond the office by providing 500 holiday meals to Massachusetts families in need through a donation to the Greater Boston Food Bank. Each of the 500 meals provides a nutritious, complete holiday meal to families who may otherwise not have one this holiday season.

“Gentle Dental has been providing care to New Englanders for over 40 years. As a health care provider, our priority is the health and wellbeing of our patients and their families. This project with The Greater Boston Food Bank is one more way we can make a difference in people’s lives" says Marketing Director Kirsten von Hassel.

Along with the donation, all Gentle Dental offices are hosting a canned food drive now through December 31st. Donations can be dropped off locally at Gentle Dental Belmont at 250 Trapelo Road during regular business hours which are Monday - Thursday from 8am- 8pm, and Friday - Saturday from 9am - 5pm. Gentle Dental Belmont was also named the #1 Dental Office in Belmont by Reader's Choice earlier this year.

“In Eastern Massachusetts, one out of ten people struggles day-to-day to have enough to eat,” said Catherine D’Amato, president and CEO of The Greater Boston Food Bank. “We thank Gentle Dental of New England for their financial donation and for hosting a food drive at their sites. Their generosity will help us achieve our Holiday Meal Drive goal of providing 12 million healthy meals to our neighbors in need this holiday season.”
