Joy in Bronze

Join
New England's premier handbell

ensemble in its 12th year. 14 energetic performers showcase a uniquely varied

program, playing with sensitivity, discipline, and skill on 6 1/2 octaves of

Schulmerich handbells and 7 octaves of Malmark handchimes., the largest set in the area.

The program opens with the pulsing tempo and insistent rhythmic figures of

"Come All Ye Shepherds." Excitement and anticipation build to a

mysterious "Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence."  Sparkling

"Hark! The Herald Angels Sing," shimmering yet haunting "Stille
Nacht,"

and exhilarating "Tidings of Comfort and Joy" inspire audiences to

comment, "I didn't know bells could sound and perform like that!"
