Middlesex Sheriff's Youth Public Safety Academy Applications Open

The office's summer camp enters its 17th year.

Those looking to sign up for the Middlesex Sheriff's Youth Public Safety Academy can now join for this summer.

Applications are available for the camp, which provides a safe, educational and low-cost option for youngsters in Middlesex County.

Now in its 17th year, the program offers six one-week camps to children ages 9-11 beginning July 5.

“I am excited to once again be able to offer this program for youngsters from communities across the county,” Middlesex Sheriff Peter Koutoujian said in a release. “Thanks to our tremendous staff and our public safety partners, YPSA provides a fun-filled and educational environment for children to learn about public safety and get to know not only our officers, but also the police officers and firefighters from their own communities.”

Transportation and lunch will also be provided.
