MYSP Youth Orchestra Auditions for Ages 9-18

The Massachusetts Youth Symphony Project at Powers Music School (MYSP) in Belmont will hold auditions for the 2016-2017 academic year on Saturday, May 21 (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.), Sunday, May 22 (1:00 – 5:00 p.m.), and Tuesday, May 31 (6:00 – 9:00 p.m.). String players ages 9-13 may audition for the MYSP Preparatory String Orchestra, while string, woodwind, brass, and percussion students ages 12-18 may audition for the MYSP Chamber Orchestra. Our conductors focus on building character, leadership, and teamwork in addition to musical skills necessary for performing standard orchestral works at the highest caliber. The smaller size of our orchestras allows for more personalized attention for each student and demands a higher level of growth and mastery.
