Planned Power Outage In Belmont Tuesday
Belmont Light will implement a power outage to cut over the electrical delivery system to a new substation.

BELMONT, MA – Belmont Light will implement a power outage in several areas of town on Tuesday, Aug. 22 in order to cut over the electrical delivery system to the new Blair Pond substation, the company announced Monday.
The outage will last up to one hour and is scheduled for 11 p.m. Should the date and time change due to weather or an emergency situation, Belmont Light will notify residents ahead of time. The company says it does not anticipate any complications but will work closely with police, fire and other emergency services to respond quickly to any situation that might arise.
