The Powers Festival Orchestra is a group of dedicated adult
musicians from the community who come together each week to share their love of
music. Channing Yu, Music Director of the Mercury Orchestra and Bay Colony
Brass, leads the adult orchestra each week in learning baroque, classical,
romantic, contemporary, and popular works in an intensive workshop environment.
Interested in joining the Festival Orchestra for the 2014-2015 academic year? The
ensemble rehearses Sunday evenings at Powers Music School, and new members on
all orchestral instruments are welcome. Information about open spots and
placement auditions will be posted on the Powers Festival Orchestra website at www.powersmusic.org/festivalorchestra.
Any questions about the orchestra may be directed to Spencer Aston at saston@powersmusic.org.
