Registration Open for Early Childhood Music Classes at Powers Music School

Summer is a great time to try a music class! Spaces are now available for the summer sessions of The Music Class® (newborn – age 4), Dalcroze Eurhythmics (ages 2-5), Hi-Five Piano (ages 5-6), and Keys for Kids® (ages 4-8) at Powers Music School in Belmont. Early childhood classes are the perfect beginning for young children (and their parents!) to learn more about music and how it fits into a well-rounded education.

The Music Class® for ages infant - 4 years offers a playful, creative music & movement program that is guaranteed to spark a love and enjoyment of music in your child - and you! Spend quality time with your kids and help them build a foundation for music in a fun, relaxed environment. Your child will enjoy singing, dancing, wiggling, observing and exploring instruments and musical props. As a parent, you'll gain musicality and learn new songs in a relaxed and pressure-free atmosphere full of fun and silliness. Developmentally appropriate mixed-age classes allow siblings to enjoy class together. Tuition includes a CD for listening and learning the music outside class, and a colorable songbook full of creative ideas for sharing the music with your child at home.

Each Eurhythmics class includes singing and playing instruments, increasing movement skills, and learning multicultural musical traditions as well as Western European repertoire. Classes focus on aural skills, movement, spatial awareness, and social experience.

6-week Summer Sessions begin the week of June 12-18. Registration is available in-person, by mail, or online for select classes.
