Join members of Belmont Against Racism in an informal book discussion of The Warmth of Other Suns:The Epic Story of America's Great Migration by Isabel Wilkerson. Copies of the book are available at the Circulation desk of the Belmont Public Library. Wilkerson follows the journey of 3 southern blacks who are part of the wave of 6 million African-Americans from the South who migrate to the North between 1915 and 1970. The history is made immensely readable in Wilkerson's book through the personal and poignant stories of these 3 individuals.
