Strong Storms to Move Through Overnight

An isolated tornado or even small hail cannot be ruled out, according to the National Weather Service.

Strong storms are expected to move through the Belmont area Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

According to a Hazardous Weather Outlook issued Tuesday morning by the service for all of Massachusetts, except Berkshire County, northern Connecticut, Rhode Island and southern New Hampshire:

“There continues to be the low to moderate risk for strong thunderstorms particularly overnight tonight. Heavy rain and strong winds will be the primary threat … but an isolated tornado or even small hail cannot be ruled out.”
