Summertime Theme At Garden Club's Flower Show

Sherry Jones, president of the Belmont Garden Club, said that this year's flower show hosted by the club was not an "art in bloom" show in which flowers are arranged and their meaning interpreted.

No, this was a show with 15 nationally-accredited judges and lots of ribbons, said Jones. 

The show at the St. Joseph's Parish Center on Common Street was part of the celebration of the club's 80th anniversary.

One of the oldest garden clubs in Massachusetts, the Belmont Garden Club assists members in their gardening, gives them an creative outlet and holds flower shows.
