Two Belmont Schools Make List Of Top 100 MA Schools For 2020

Belmont Hill and Belmont High School both made Niche's list of the top 100 schools in the state.

BELMONT, MA — Two Belmont schools made it onto the list of the top 100 schools in Massachusetts. Niche.com released the list that includes both private and public elementary, middle and high schools. Belmont Hill School and Belmont High School both made the list.

Belmont Hill School was ranked 15th and Belmont High School was ranked 44th on the list. Whether a school finished first or 100th, there's not really a bad spot on the list. They all received A+ grades from Niche.

Belmont Hill School is a private, all-boys school with 50 students in grades 7-12 and a student-teacher ratio of 7 to 1. After graduation, 100 percent of students from this school go on to attend a four-year college. The average SAT score at Belmont Hill is a 1410, according to Niche. Niche also ranked the school highly in the areas of college prep for private high schools, STEM for high schools and all-boys schools in the state.

Yearly tuition for Belmont Hill is $50,800.

Belmont High School is a public school with 1,264 students in grades 9-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 17 to 1. According to state test scores, 98 percent of students are at least proficient in math and 98 percent in reading. Niche also ranked the school highly in the areas of college prep for public high schools, STEM for high schools and public high schools in the state.

Belmont High School has a 98 percent graduation rate and an average SAT score of 1330, according to Niche.
