Please join me and others at the Waltham Fields Community Farm 2014 Sprout Event, tomorrow, Friday April 11th starting at 6.30pm. The event supports an amazing local farm and cause. Open bar, silent auction, music, and delicious, locally grown food prepared by chef JJ Gonson and Cuisine en Locale!
In 2014, Waltham Fields Community Farm aims to grow and provide $70,000 worth of fresh, organic vegetables to people in need throughout Greater Boston. We do this through:
- Donations to food pantries, meal programs, and cooking/nutrition programs
- Operation of our special Outreach Market
- Farm-to-school distributions
- Half-Price CSA Shares
Your support also helps Waltham Fields provide free & low-cost hands-on farm education experiences for low-income children and adults at the farm.
Growing farmers for tomorrow is just as important to Waltham Fields as growing food for today. We do this through an on-farm Farmer Training program and dedicated involvement with regional and statewide efforts, sharing knowledge with and teaching skills to people entering the field.
Your support at great events like this make our good work possible! Advance discounted tickets available today, walk-ins welcome tomorrow.
