The Wellesley Players Present "The Full Monty"

The community theater group The Wellesley Players present "The Full Monty" at Watertown's Arsenal Center for the Art.

The Wellesley Players proudly present “The Full Monty.” First introduced as a movie, this musical was adapted for the stage by playwright Terrence McNally and composer David Yazbek and earned ten 2001 Tony nominations, including Best Musical.

Set during an industrial downturn in Buffalo, NY, six former steel workers face the adversity of unemployment, child support, and depression. But, after witnessing their wives’ excitement and the success surrounding a Chippendales-like tour, they are determined to restore solvency by creating their own one-night fundraiser promising to reveal “the full monty.” Throughout their ordeal these gents discover renewed self-esteem and the importance of family and friendship.

“The Full Monty,” directed by Richard Repetta, music director Shawn Gelzleichter and choreographer P.J. Terranova is performed February 26-28 and March 4-6 at the Mosesian Theater at the Arsenal Center for the Arts in Watertown. Tickets may be purchased online at www.wellesleyplayers.org
