College Student Struck, Killed On Rte. 128

BEVERLY, MA – A 20-year-old Boxford man died late Monday night when he was struck by an SUV on Route 128, state police said. According to police, the man, a student at Endicott College, was in the left lane when he was struck around 12 a.m. near Exit 18.

The victim was identified Tuesday afternoon as Timothy Glendinning. Police said Glendinning had a skateboard at the time of the crash. Whether or not he was riding it or carrying it when he was struck is under investigation.

The driver of the 2017 Chevrolet SUV, a 55-year-old Florida man, immediately stopped and called 911. He remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
