The Beverly Public Library announces the start of the 18th Annual Teen Poetry Contest. The contest officially opens on Friday, January 3, 2014 and runs through 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2014. Beverly students or residents in grades 6 through 12 are encouraged to enter. Cash prizes will be awarded in two age categories, grades 6-8 and grades 9-12. There is a limit of three poems per person. Contestants are strongly encouraged to submit poems online at www.beverlypubliclibrary.org/teens. Paper entry forms will be available in the library and through local schools, and will be accepted via mail or drop off at the Beverly Public Library, 32 Essex Street, Beverly, MA 01915. Poem and entry information may also be emailed to babin@noblenet.org.
