Adam Sandler, Mom Grab Vegan Lunch In Beverly
Adam Sandler, who is back on the North Shore to film his next movie, was seen grabbing a vegan lunch in Beverly with his mom.

BEVERLY, MA — What do Bill Murray, Larry David, Salma Hayek, Frances Mcdormand and, after Thursday, Adam Sandler have in common? They've all stopped to grab lunch at Organic Garden Cafe, a vegan restaurant on Cabot Street in Beverly. Sandler, a New Hampshire native on the North Shore to start filming his next movie, had lunch with his mother Thursday.
"The staff played it super cool allowing Adam to enjoy chilling with his mom," the restaurant said, noting that one of its customers did get Sandler to pose for a selfie with her. The restaurant is used to feeding stars; in addition to the actors mentioned above, it's a favorite pre-show stop for musicians playing at the nearby Cabot. Other celebrities who have dined there include former Red Sox right fielder Dwight Evans, Brad Delp of the band Boston, Peter Wolf, Jack Casady and Trevor Hall.
Sandler has filmed several movies in the region, most notably "Grown Ups" and its sequel, both of which made use of several well-known North Shore locations. Last month his production company had an open casting call for "Hubie Halloween," which is set in Salem and will film in several North Shore towns, including Danvers. Filming is scheduled to begin Monday in Marblehead.

The synopsis of the film on the application to Danvers officials reads "Despite his devotion to his hometown of Salem, Massachusetts (and its legendary Halloween celebration), Hubie Dubois is a figure of mockery for kids and adults alike. But this year, something really is going bump in the night, and it's up to Hubie to save Halloween."
