BEVERLY, MA — A Beverly teen was hospitalized in stable condition early Thursday evening — and was "doing well" on Friday — after being found unresponsive in a pool on Parramatta Road late in the afternoon.
Beverly police and fire said the 13-year-old boy was pulled from the water at about 4 p.m. and bystanders began performing CPR. First responders took over with further life-saving measures when they arrived.
The boy was reported as stabilized when he was taken to Beverly Hospital.
From there, Beverly police and fire said a medical helicopter took him to a Boston hospital.
Beverly Police Chief John LeLacheur told Patch on Friday morning that the teen was "doing well" when asked for an update on his condition.
The Beverly Police Department was investigating the incident on Thursday night.
