Fair features chic, one-of-a-kind handcrafted items
St. Peter’s was established as the first Episcopal Church in Beverly in 1863 during the middle of the Civil War. 2013 will mark the parish’s 150th anniversary. The parish celebrates its history, but that does not mean it is stuck there. The church’s decades-old Holiday Fair, taking place this Saturday, November 17, from 9 am to 2 pm, will feature chic, one-of-a-kind hand-crafted gift items, including tie-dyed silk scarves, table linens and cotton onesies for babies; woolen scarves and hats, hand sewn fleece scarves and purses. With a selection of items made by artists in the church, the fair will rival fine boutiques on the Cape or Boston – except items will sell at Beverly prices and benefit the 150-year-old parish.
