Lisa has a substantial background working with children and families: as a Lead Teacher at North Shore Head Start, as director of her own preschool and more recently at Gregg House, an early education and care provider in Lynn. In addition to supervising staff, King’s duties included maintaining NAEYC accreditation, working on QRIS levels and presenting trainings and workshops on a wide variety of ECE topics.

2013 marks the Beverly Children’s Learning Center’s 40th year of serving hundreds of children in Beverly and surrounding towns. The center has grown from a small, volunteer-led pre-school in the basement of St. Peter’s Church in 1973 to the current large facility in the Cummings Center, serving children ages 1 month to 13 years.  Approximately 150 children from 120 families -- 93 children in early education and care and 60 in the year-round school age program – depend upon the Beverly Children’s Learning Center for high quality, affordable early education and care.
