Beverly Bus Driver Wants Child Endangerment Charges Dropped
A lawyer for David Boutros, 71, of Haverhill, says the charges were filed without probable cause.

BEVERLY, MA -- A lawyer for the bus driver accused of child endangerment after he left a five-year-old on his bus in September told a judge Thursday he will seek to have the charges dismissed. David Boutros, 71, of Haverhill, was charged more than a month after the Sept. 7 incident. Investigators say he failed to check the bus at the end of his route and a kindergartner was injured when he tried to walk home after sitting on the bus for several hours.
According to the Salem News, which first reported this story, Boutros's attorney Jack Milgram said he planned to file a motion saying the clerk magistrate could not have found probable cause in the case. A hearing on the motion was scheduled for March 18.
