Beverly Fire Department Knocks Down Kitchen Fire

BEVERLY, MA -- Fire fighters were able to quickly extinguish a kitchen fire in Beverly Wednesday afternoon, according to scanner reports. A mutual aid call was issued to Salem and Danvers, which sent fire fighters to cover Beverly Fire stations while the fire was active.

Fire officials said there were no injuries in the fire, which started on a stove and rose up into cabinets. Fire investigators were on the scene trying to determine a cause Wednesday afternoon.
