Beverly Mayoral Candidate Forum Set For Thursday At Off Cabot

The Greater Beverly Chamber of Commerce will host the forum between incumbent Mike Cahill and challenger Jamie Zarella.

BEVERLY, MA — Beverly voters will have a chance to hear from the two finalist candidates for mayor and their visions for the future of the city when incumbent Mike Cahill and challenger Jamie Zarella take part in a Chamber of Commerce candidate forum on Thursday.

The breakfast forum is set for 8:30 at Off Cabot on Wallis Street with the hourlong forum beginning at 9 a.m.

The forum is set to focus on Beverly's businesses and the most urgent business leads with GBCC Chair Richard Vincent acting as moderator.

Tickets are available for $20 per person and include breakfast. BevCam will record the forum and stream it after the event.

Sponsorships are also available for $500, which includes public recognition at the event, a photo opportunity with the candidates, and a business logo on all digital media associated with the event.

Cahill and Zarella advanced out of the preliminary election as the final two candidates for the general election to be held on Nov. 7.

In the preliminary election held last week, Cahill received 2,728 votes (55.8 percent) with Zarella second at 1,760 (36.0 percent), according to unofficial results. Phil Venezia was third with 312 votes (6.4 percent).

Zarella won Ward 1, while Cahill won in Wards 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.
