Beverly Seeks Residents' Help In Preserving Obear Park Coastline

The city is looking for evidence of storm impact and erosion ahead of developing a natural protection plan for the coastline.

BEVERLY, MA — Beverly is looking for residents to help develop plans to best utilize a grant to protect Obear Park from erosion.

The city is asking for residents' observations and photographs of Obear Park, the Danvers River and surrounding areas to examine the impact of storms and climate change on the coastline, beach, park equipment and marsh.

Those with photos — both current and historical — of Obear Park during or after storm events, king tides and other weather phenomena are asked to submit them so officials can see what has changed over time and what needs to be protected.
