Join your friends and neighbors for easy-to-learn New England contra, square, and circle dances featuring live music with fiddle, guitar, and more.
Families with kids ages 4-10 are invited to a special Family Dance Hour before the main event. Simple dances and musical games build dance skills. Families are warmly invited to stay for the regular dance that follows.
Our COMMUNITY DANCE highlights dances that are easy to learn and especially geared to those who may be attending a contra dance for the first time.
Each dance is carefully taught. Wear comfortable shoes- smooth, non-grip soles are best- and casual clothes. Water bottles are recommended.
Adrienne Howard, fiddle; Emily Peterson, concertina; Dirk Tiede, guitar and fiddle, and Rose Sheehan, caller will provide a fun evening of good tunes, movement, connection and community!
Suggested contribution is $15 - $25, while those under 16 can attend for free. No one turned away for lack of funds.
