
Beverly, MA (December 12, 2013) – Endicott College has been named a “Top College in Massachusetts” for excellence in teacher education by The College Database. The list of “Top Colleges in Massachusetts: Shaping the Next Generation” highlights post-secondary institutions in Massachusetts offering quality education programs that will help develop the skills needed to impact tomorrow’s leaders. The College Database has become a leader in providing educational information to libraries, high schools and career centers across the country.
"Many colleges and universities have tremendous teacher education programs," said Doug Jones, founder of The College Database. "But which ones are producing the youngest educators today? We wanted to identify the colleges making the largest impact on our students."
The College Database also recently recognized Endicott as one of the “Best Colleges in Massachusetts for Women in Tech”. They included colleges that offer quality degree programs in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), and have specialized resources designed to draw more women to the industry.

To be identified as one of The College Database’s top colleges, a college or university must be an accredited public or private four-year college with at least 10 graduates from education or teaching disciplines in 2012.
