Man Gets Two Years In Prison After Guilty Plea In Beverly Case

A Salem District Court judge ruled Carlos Figueroa violated conditions of his probation as she handed down the sentence.

BEVERLY, MA -- A Lynn man who was arrested at a Beverly Housing Complex in June was sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to a charge of disturbing the peace Tuesday. Prosecutors dropped most of the charges against Carlos Figueroa, 28, of Lynn, including domestic assault and battery, witness intimidation and resisting arrest.

According to the Salem News, which first reported this story, Salem District Court Judge Emily Karstetter ruled that Figueroa had violated his probation in two earlier cases by going to his estranged wife's apartment after and by running through nearby yards after the woman told him she was calling police. One of Figueroa's estranged wife's neighbors held him at gunpoint until police arrived.
