MBTA Releases ID Of Man Killed By Train In Beverly

Foul play is not suspected in the death of Michael Matuzek, 57, of Beverly.

BEVERLY, MA -- MBTA Transit Police identified the man hit and killed by a commuter rail train in Beverly Saturday afternoon as Michael Matuzek, 57, of Beverly. The agency had delayed releasing the name of the victim until Monday, as they had trouble locating Matuzek's next of kin.

Matuzek was hit by a commuter rail train near Montserrat Station around 5:30 pm Saturday.Foul play is not suspected. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
