No Structural Damage to the Damaged Convenience Store

The convenience store did not lose electricity or power.

Rapid Refill, the convenience store that a Lynn woman drove a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze through the front of on Sunday afternoon, was free to re-open once they cleaned up because there was no structural damage, according to Steve Frederickson, Beverly Building Commissioner/Director for Municipal Inspections.

The damage was limited to the front glass entry door, according to Frederickson. The store is located next to the Burger King in the Route 128 rest stop area.

Patricia Miller, 55, of Lynn, was arraigned on Monday in Salem District Court on drunk driving charges in connection with driving her car through the front of a convenience store in Beverly, Mass., according to authorities.

Bill Burke, director of Beverly’s Public Health Department, said the store did not lose electricity or water, so health officials were not required to shut the business down. Management was required to discard any food products on kiosks displaced by the crash, and submit a list of those items to the department.
