North Shore CDC Recognizes Local Stakeholders with Pillar of the Community Awards

North Shore CDC announces Pillar of the Community Awardees.

On Wednesday, December 9th, North Shore Community Development Coalition will host its 11th Annual “No Place Like Home” Dinner & Auction. Held at Danversport Yacht Club from 6-9pm, the event celebrates a year of regional housing and community impacts with 400 of North Shore CDC’s partners and supporters in attendance.

The event recognizes the energy, leadership and spirit of exceptional community members through the Annual Pillar of the Community Awards. North Shore CDC’s community impacts are made possible in part because of the generous contributions of these awardees. This year, North Shore CDC is proud to announce the 2015 recipients who will be honored at the event:

This award exemplifies the meaning of partnership and commitment to the community. AN organization or individual serves as a model for collaboration in acting as a bridge between North Shore CDC and the communities we serve.

Outstanding Volunteer – Gail Nelson, Economic Development Volunteer at North Shore CDC

This award recognizes an individual’s time, effort, and service to work towards the betterment of our mission. When “someone’s gotta do it,” they’re always ready to act.

Housing Hero – Tim Riley, Former-Executive Director of Action Inc.

This award recognizes an individual’s exceptional commitment to the field of community development through their tireless public service and advocacy. By advocating for positive policy change and expansion, you have single-handedly worked for the greater good of our communities.

Change Agent – Ana Nuncio, Co-Chair of Latino Leadership Coalition

This award recognizes an individual’s outstanding leadership in their neighborhood that serves as a model of excellence. Their guiding strength and ability to rise above commonality, not only betters North Shore CDC’s work but enhances the work of those in their presence.
