An Outhouse Incident: Beverly Police Logs

Among other things, Beverly Police responded to a report of a man in an outhouse, a vandal, and a woman goes into labor.

BEVERLY, MA — Here is a sample of the types of calls the Beverly Police responded to this week taken from their daily call log. Just because someone reports an incident doesn't mean it happened that way.

Monday, Nov. 27

Kids: A Jasper Street resident reported two kids were banging on the door around 6:42 p.m. and it was disturbing.

Dogs: A Rantoul Street resident reported a neighbor's dog bit someone.

Suspicious: Someone called to report there was a weird car in the middle of the road on Cabot Street near the Salem line at 10:22 p.m. Two units responded.

Tuesday, Nov. 28

Suspicious: Several police an ambulance and a Fire Department vehicle responded to a report of a suspicious package near the corner of Cabot and Balch streets at 4:44 p.m. (see article here)

Sex offender registry: Two people renewed their annual status as a sex offender. One a level 2 and another a level 3.

Overdose: Two police units, an ambulance and Beverly Fire Department unit responded to a report of a possible overdose on Cabot Street just before midnight.

Wednesday, Nov. 29

Lewd: At 7:36 p.m. someone reported a man engaging in "lewd acts" at a bathroom along Route 128 North.

Package theft: Someone reported a package stolen from Federal Street.

Suspicious: Two units responded after someone reported suspicious activity on Sohier Road that had to do with a former employee of a business there.

Thursday, Nov. 30

Arrested: Mark Bowden, 37, of Ives Street was arrested on 5 counts of receiving stolen property, possessing a class C drug, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Break in: Someone called around 6:34 p.m. to report there was a break in in the basement of a unit on Ives Street.

Fight: Someone reported a fight on Cabot Street at 10:51 p.m.

You OK in there? Someone reported that a man had been in the "outhouse" for an hour near the corner of Margin Street and Bridge Street.

Friday, December 1

It's happening: An employee at a business on Herrick Street called police at 9:53 a.m. that a fellow employee who was nine months pregnant was experiencing labor pains.

Vandal: Someone reported a car windshield was vandalized around 11: 30 a.m. while it was on Railroad Avenue.

Underage Warrant: Police attempted to serve a warrant for the arrest of a juvenile at 1:28 p.m. It's unclear what they were wanted for.
