Overdose Death of 30-Year-Old Man Leads to Seizure of Heroin

Beverly Police responded to a report of an overdose at a Grant Street house on Wednesday afternoon.

Officers, as well as emergency medical personnel from Northeast Ambulance Service, attempted to revive a 30-year-old man.

The man was transported to Beverly Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to authorities.

During a search of the house where the overdose occurred, members of the Beverly Police Criminal Investigations Division seized a significant amount of heroin, according to authorities.
