Police: Ongoing Problem With Driver For Unnecessary Horn-Blowing; Dog Locked in Car; Fight Reported

Tuesday, June 9

At 5:01 p.m., animal complaint on Reservoir Road. Dog locked in car.

At 5:53 p.m., homeless related. Woman came into the police station looking for abandoned property at what she described as an “undisclosed location.” Woman refused to disclose the location of where her belongings were left.

At 7:53 p.m., suspicious activity on Cabot Street. Woman recording in the ATM. Woman was not recording other people, but was texting her husband. Took a picture of the screen after her transaction.

At 8:40 p.m., motor vehicle stop on Essex Street and Kelleher Road. Officer on patrol on Essex Street saw a driver slow down and turned the headlights off and blow on the horn for 200 yards down Essex Street. The vehicle had a long line of vehicles behind it. The vehicle was seen crossing over marked lanes several times. Ongoing problem with the operator. Officers have spoken to him in the past. He was cited for marked lanes violation, driving without headlights and unnecessary horn-blowing.

At 9:41 p.m., disturbance-fight on Elliott Street. Parties stated they were not fighting; they told officers they had a loud verbal argument.

Wednesday, June 10

At 1:19 a.m., area check on Lothrop Street and dane Street. Dane Street Beach check..

At 1:28 a.m., report of loud explosion on Essex Street. Power out; National Grid notified.

At 5:48 a.m., power outage on West Street. Issue with transformer. National Grid notified.
