Police: Suspicious Activity in Front of School Reported, Vehicle Cited After Near Head-On Crash With Crusier, Lottery Issue

At 9:30 a.m., suspicious activity on Lothrop Street and Abbott Street. Man in front of school with camera. School staff described an older man in a green pickup/Suburban-type vehicle parked on at least four occasions.

At 9:51 a.m., minor hit and run reported on Rantoul Street. no injuries.

At 10:25 a.m., follow-up to suspicious activity. Man spoken with and vehicle photographed.

At 10:50 a.m., railroad gates on Cabot Street and Kittredge Street malfunctioning.

At 11:06 a.m., larceny reported at Verizon on Dodge Street. Past shoplifting report.

At 11:30 a.m., parking complaint on Oak Street. Neighbors complaining about a business that places cones in roadway to reserve parking. Follow-up with the owner and DPW to remove snow from posted handicap parking spot.

At 11:42 a.m., juvenile matter on Putnam Street. Parent report elementary school bullying.

At 12:19 p.m. road hazard on Roosevelt Avenue. Reported multiple, deep potholes between Roosevelt Avenue and Lexington drive. MassDOT requested that the potholes be patched.

At 1:04 p.m., motor vehicle stop on Cross Lane. Vehicle almost struck a police cruiser head-on. Citation issued for marked lanes violation.

At 1:29 p.m., lottery issue on Rantoul Street. Customer disputed the amount of tickets sold to her; claimed the clerk shorted her $10 worth of tickets. Officer watched video transaction and found no wrong-doing, Customer left the store without incident.

At 2:57 p.m. motor vehicle stop on Cabot and Mason streets, Citation issued.
