Rat In The House, Found Bone & Bicycle Rage: Beverly Police Logs
Between Feb. 19 and Feb. 22 police responded to a number of calls, including one about a rat in someone's home.

BEVERLY, MA — Between Monday, Feb. 19 and Thursday, Feb. 22, Beverly police responded to a number of calls - from reports of heart attacks to suspicious cars, possible fights and not one, but two vehicles crashing into buildings. Here is a sample of the types of calls that came in and police recorded in their public call log. Note just because someone reported an incident doesn't necessarily mean that's the way the situation unfolded.
Monday, Feb. 19
Drive through: Someone reported a car hit a building near the corner of Cabot and Pond streets. Police, fire and an ambulance came to check it out at around 11 a.m.
Not cool: Someone called to report trucks were parked on the sidewalk along Goodyear and McKay streets, forcing walkers into the street.

Bicycle rage? Someone reported a man on a bike was cutting cars off along Hale and East Lothrop streets around 4:30 p.m. Two officers went to check it out.
What? Police logged a report of suspicious activity when a woman called to report she was hit on Bridge Street just after 6 p.m.

Suspicious activity: Someone called to report a person was looking into cars parked on Wadsworth Place around 11:13 p.m.
Fight: A person called to report they thought there was a fight in the street near the corner of Mill and Gage streets just before midnight. Three officers responded.
Tuesday, Feb. 20
And we're not talking the cartoon kind: A Sohier Road resident called police at 8 p.m. to report a rat in the bedroom.
Domestic abuse happens here, too: Three officers responded to a report of possible domestic abuse between a step parent and their step child in the community. Three officers responded.
Stalker?: A woman called to report she thought she was being stalked.
No shoes: Someone reported a woman without shoes was yelling at cars on Cabot Street around 4 a.m.
Begging: Someone at a business on Elliott Street called to report a person who may have been homeless was harassing customers and begging at 8:36 a.m.
Stolen: Someone on Essex Street called to report money was missing from her purse.
Lock your car: Police responded to a report of a car break in while it was parked on Oakhurst Road. The report came in at 10:36 a.m.
Drugs: Beverly Police helped another agency with a drug related investigation on Healey Court.
Wednesday, February 21
Disturbance: Someone called to report a disturbance in a parking lot on Cabot Street after midnight. Police said they broke up a large group of people.
Catching some Zs: Someone called police about a suspicious car on Cabot Street around 1: 30 a.m. Police found a man sleeping in the car.
Water everywhere: Police responded to a report of a hazard on Corning Street. It appeared to be a water main break around 5 a.m.
Stolen: An Elliott street resident called to report a larceny at 7:47 a.m.
Burglary: A Nelson Avenue resident reported someone broke into their home around 12:58 p.m. and stole something. Two detectives and two officers responded to the call.
What are you doing? Someone called to report a man walking along Rt. 128 South near Exit 20. Police and an ambulance responded.
Hit and run: There was a crash near Cabot and Federal streets that caused damage, but at least one involved left the scene. Police responded at 2 p.m.
Her Uber never came?: Someone called police to report a woman was hanging out on Longview Terrace with her luggage for "an extended period," and they thought that was suspicious.
Thursday, Feb. 22
Screaming: Someone called to report a man on Manor Road was screaming just after midnignt.
Truck crashes into house: A Roundy Street resident called police at 1:24 a.m. to report a truck crashed into their house. Fire and police responded. (see main story on that)
Disturbance: An Essex Street resident called to report someone yelling at 5:38 a.m.
Vandals?: A Grover Street resident called police about damage to their property, police noted they were possibly being harassed.
Uh, what kind? Someone on Oxford Terrace reported they found a bone around noon.
Is yours missing? Someone reported finding a bicycle on Woodland Avenue around 3: 15 p.m.
