'Shoebert Goes Home' Polar Plunge Set For Beverly's Lynch Park
Lifebridge and Family Promise are hosting the plunge to benefit homeless support programs on the North Shore.

BEVERLY, MA — A polar plunge in honor of one of Beverly's most celebrated temporary residents of recent years will benefit homeless programs across the North Shore.
The "Shoebert Goes Home" polar plunge is set for March 1 at Beverly's Lynch Park. Funds raised will benefit Lifebridge and Family Promise programs supporting unhoused residents of the North Shore and those in danger of losing their housing.
Organizers said Shoebert was chosen as the plunge's namesake because "his journey is a reminder that every unhoused person deserves safety and support from their community in order to achieve stability."
