Student Stop-Motion Animation Class Set For Beverly's Cabot Theater
The phone filmmaking class for students ages 10 through 14 will run during the February school vacation.
BEVERLY, MA — North Shore students will have a chance to create their own short films using their phones during the Stop-Motion Animation classes at Beverly's Cabot Theater.
The classes for students ages 10 through 14 will run from 9 a.m. to noon from Feb. 21 to Feb. 24 during school vacation week.
Those attending will learn the principles of animation and make their own short films using household objects and course materials. Students can explore their creativity and storytelling skills while learning editing, camera use and directing techniques.

All projects made in the class will be submitted to the Boston International Kids Film Festival for potential screening in the November 2023 festival.
Students participating must have an iPod or Android device will access to the free app Stop Motion Studio.
