Tonight: Candlelight Vigil for Riley Fessenden

Fessenden, whose well-documented battle with cancer inspired thousands, passed away Wednesday. Tonight's vigil will begin at 7:30 p.m.

BEVERLY, MA – Beverly will hold a candlelight vigil tonight at 7:30 p.m. for Riley Fessenden, who passed away Wednesday afternoon.

The young girl inspired thousands on her Facebook page Riley ROCKS as she fought a rare form of cancer diagnosed at age six.

For three years, Beverly rallied around Riley, often holding fundraisers to contribute to her treatment.

And she remained active through it all; whether she was showing up at cheerleading practice straight from radiation therapy, giving her blessing to a Blizzard named after her at Dairy Queen, vacationing with her family on the Cape, or receiving the Key to the City, she continued to inspire the thousands who followed her throughout her fight.

Tonight's vigil will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Lynch Park in Beverly.
