U.S. News and World Report - Best Colleges 2014 includes Endicott College

Endicott College is ranked among the nation's best colleges and universities, according to the 2014 edition of U.S. News and World Report's “Best Colleges".

Beverly, MA --The national publication, U.S. News and World Report’s 2014 Best Colleges, has included Endicott in its list of one of the Best Regional Universities.  The 621 universities in this category are not ranked nationally but rather against their peer group in one of four geographic regions—North, South, Midwest, and West—because, in general, they tend to draw students most heavily from surrounding states. Endicott is a Tier One institution and ranked 74th in the North. Endicott was also recognized in two additional categories:  as one of 37 institutions listed in the North as an A-Plus School for B Students and as one of eight institutions in its category as a 2014 Up-and-Comer.  

The 2014 Up-and-Comer category includes colleges and universities that have recently made the most promising and innovative changes in the areas of academics, faculty, student life, campus or facilities as voted on by their peers.

Among the criteria used in ranking colleges and universities are 15 widely accepted indicators of excellence.  Among these factors are peer assessment, student selectivity, faculty resources, retention and graduation rates, financial resources, and alumni giving. These criteria take into consideration several factors including acceptance rate, SAT scores, alumni donors, and class sizes.
