69,000+ Without Power Across Massachusetts
Crews are working to restore power as sub-zero wind chills descend on the state.

Tens of thousands of people are still without power at the tail end of blustery Monday that saw widespread damage. The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency has the outages at 74,606 as of 7:32 p.m. Those numbers don't reflect some municipal power companies.
The outages have already caused havoc in many communities, and it could get worse overnight. The National Weather Service said overnight wind chill factors will be hovering around zero Tuesday morning.

There have been multiple instances of wind gusts stronger than 60 miles per hour, the strongest recorded at 69 m.p.h in Cambridge. A high wind warning was in effect for most of the state Monday.
The peak wind gust at the Mt. Washington Observatory in New Hampshire was 171 m.p.h Monday, breaking the February record of 166 set in 1972.

There have multiple reports of trees falling on vehicles, including one instance in Milton that trapped a woman and her 4-year-old daughter inside. The victims did not suffer serious injuries.

Several major roads were completely closed at various times throughout the day as power lines and trees were strewn about. The most impactful closure was the Tobin Bridge southbound in the mid-afternoon after two tractor-trailers crashed, but police have not said whether heavy winds contributed to the collision. Most other major road closures Monday were directly attributed to storm-related damage.
In Westfield, a small plane completely flipped over. No one was in the plane.

- Westford: 2,545 (26 percent)
- Clinton: 2,364 (33 percent)
- Harvard: 2,212 (95 percent)
- Chelmsford: 1,639 (10 percent)
- Leicester: 1,454 (31 percent)
- Ware: 1,228 (24 percent)
- Ayer: 1,211 (30 percent)
- Tyngsborough: 1,168 (22 percent)
- Oxford: 1,142 (18 percent)
- Acton: 1,061 (10 percent)
