23-Year-Old Dorchester Woman Arrested On Gun Charges

DORCHESTER, MA — Boston Police responded to a call of a person with a gun by 19 Olney Street in Dorchester Monday night.

911 operations broadcasted the description of the suspect to be a black female in her early twenties wearing a fanny pack, according to the police report. Once police got to the scene, officers said they located a woman meeting that description. Due to the description in the call and for public safety, officers say they conducted a pat frisk of the fanny pack and recovered a loaded handgun.

Tahjae Singleton, 23, of Dorchester, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Singleton is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
