BOSTON, MA — Just in time for race weekend in Boston, two Massachusetts-based companies are collaborating for a celebratory sweet treat.

Monday marks the 130th running of the Boston Marathon, which makes it the longest-running annual marathon in the world. To celebrate, Kane’s Donuts and Samuel Adams are bringing back their collaboration 26.2 Brew Donut.

For the second year, the sweet treat fives runners, spectators and donut lovers a limited-edition way to toast one of the city’s most iconic weekends.

The seasonal release will be available from Thursday through Marathon Monday at all three Kane's Donuts locations: on Lincoln Ave and Rt. 1 in Saugus and Boston's Financial District.

The 26.2 Brew Donut features Samuel Adams’ 26.2 brew, an ale brewed with sea salt and coriander. The donut is crafted as a light, yeast-style treat, finished with a glaze made by reducing Samuel Adams 26.2 and blending it into Kane’s signature honey glaze.

Organizers note that all alcohol is cooked off during the baking process, leaving only the brew's signature taste without the buzz.

Running the marathon this weekend? Many local restaurants are offering specials and deals for participants.
