BOSTON, MA — A teenager from Texas is wanted for murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man inside South Station last week, the Boston Police Department announced.

Owens was stabbed shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 12, following an altercation on an escalator leading to an exit from South Station at 675 Atlantic Ave., according to police.

Transit Police officers responded at approximately 5:33 p.m. and found Owens inside the station suffering from an apparent stab wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police described Levy as five feet and seven inches tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds. His features include black hair and brown eyes.

In the immediate aftermath of the stabbing, Boston Police Superintendent Paul McLaughlin said investigators were interviewing witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage. Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden said at the time that it was too early to determine whether the stabbing was a random act of violence and noted that investigators believed there were potential witnesses.

The incident also disrupted Red Line service that evening, with trains temporarily bypassing South Station before regular service resumed.

Anyone with information about Levy's whereabouts is urged to contact the Boston Police Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470.

Anonymous tips can also be submitted by calling the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1-800-494-TIPS or by texting the word "TIP" to CRIME (27463).

The situation remains under investigation by the Boston Police Department's Homicide Unit.
