30 Grams Of Suspected Cocaine Recovered By Boston Police

BOSTON, MA — A man is facing drug charges after police recovered approximately 30 grams of suspected cocaine and cash Tuesday during a search of a residence, according to the Boston Police Department.

Bryan Scruggs Jr., 43, of Dorchester, was arrested at approximately 12:20 p.m. after officers and Drug Control Units executed a search warrant near 22 Harvard St. The warrant was obtained following an investigation into Scruggs and covered both his person and residence.

Officers reportedly saw Scruggs leave his Harvard Street residence at approximately 12:10 p.m. and approached him before retrieving the keys to the home.

During a search of the residence, police reportedly recovered approximately 30 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Scruggs was taken into custody and is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of trafficking a Class B substance and a subsequent offense of possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance.
