Boston Man Arrested After 2 People Hospitalized In Downtown Assaults

Police did not hesitate after receiving a report of the first assault taking place.

BOSTON, MA — A man is facing a charge after two people were injured in separate assaults Friday morning, the Boston Police Department announced.

Aaron Meuse, 42, was arrested after officers responded at approximately 11:48 a.m. to the first incident. The victim told police he was picking up a prescription at a local pharmacy when Meuse allegedly struck him twice in the upper right arm before fleeing the area.

The victim reportedly noticed two puncture wounds and blood dripping from his arm shortly after the assault. According to police, he was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The victim and witnesses provided officers with a description of the suspect.

Officers then responded to a second reported assault near West Street, where another victim told police Meuse had entered a bar and attempted to order a drink before allegedly assaulting him and leaving the business.

The second victim suffered a minor laceration to his neck and flagged down Suffolk University Police sergeants for assistance. Boston Police, with assistance from Suffolk University Police, located Meuse and took him into custody. The second victim was also transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Meuse is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
