BOSTON, MA — The police department is looking to identify a person it believes was involved in a motor vehicle larceny and kidnapping incident that took place over the weekend.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, in the area of Crawford Street and Warren Street. According to police, the person stole the victim's vehicle while a child was still in the backseat. The vehicle and child were later safely located in the area of Draper Street and 1 Bentham St.
Community members with relevant information are being asked to contact detectives at 617-343-4275. Anonymous tips can also be submitted by calling 1-800-494-TIPS, texting the word "TIP" to CRIME at 27463, or through the Boston Police CrimeStoppers website. Detectives said they are continuing to review the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.
