Boston Police Looking To Identify Person Possibly Connected To Stabbing

BOSTON, MA — The police department is looking to identify a person it believes was involved in a stabbing incident that took place over the weekend.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:56 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13, in the area of 8 Burnett St. in Jamaica Plain. According to police, responding officers observed the victim being transported to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening stab wound. Witnesses told officers they heard the victim calling for help after he had been stabbed. Officers searched the surrounding area for the suspect but were unable to locate them.

Community members with relevant information are being asked to contact District E-13 detectives at 617-343-5628. Anonymous tips can also be submitted by calling 1-800-494-TIPS, texting the word "TIP" to CRIME at 27463, or through the Boston Police CrimeStoppers website.

Detectives said they are continuing to investigate the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.
