BOSTON, MA — One person has died after a vehicle crashed into a medical building in Jamaica Plain Thursday morning.
Emergency crews responded to the area of Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital on Centre Street at approximately 10:48 a.m. after a vehicle crashed into Belkin House, according to Boston EMS. Paramedics were already in the area and witnessed the crash, immediately activating 911 and requesting additional support. Crews also requested assistance from the Boston Fire Department due to a gas leak at the scene.
Multiple Boston EMS units responded, with members establishing incident command and coordinating the response alongside Boston firefighters, police, and Faulkner Hospital personnel. Crews treated three patients, including the person who ultimately succumbed to life-threatening injuries. Four Boston EMS members were evaluated for exposure following the incident.
Additional information about the conditions of the other two patients has not yet been made available. The cause of the crash is not yet known.
