Arrest Made 16 Years After Boston Woman's Disappearance

Felicia McGuyer, 32, was last seen in Dorchester in 2007. Sixteen years later, an arrest has been made in connection with her death.

BOSTON, MA — Fifteen years after a Boston woman disappeared, leaving behind her 10-year-old son, a man has been arrested in connection with her death, Boston police said Monday.

Felicia McGuyer, 32, was last seen on Oct. 7, 2007, near Roxton Street in Dorchester, police said. CBS News reported that authorities said the accused, 33-year-old David Pena, was McGuyer's boyfriend at the time of her disappearance.

"Information leading to Pena's arrest was developed through interviews conducted since McGuyer's disappearance, with the latest taking place in March 2022," District Attorney Kevin Hayden told CBS News. McGuyer's body has still not been found, the outlet reported.

According to police, Pena was already in custody in Macclenny, Florida when members of the Boston Police Department Unit arrived Saturday to arrest Pena, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant on a murder charge in connection with McGuyer's death.

Pena was taken to Mattapan, where he was booked and found to also have been wanted on an outstanding warrant on charges of trafficking cocaine, police said.

Pena will appear in Dorchester District Court Tuesday for arraignment on his charges.
