Blink! Dance Party To Celebrate the New Year at Faneuil Hall Marketplace

Faneuil Hall Marketplace just announced that it is throwing a big outdoor dance party at the site of the Blink! Holiday Tree to ring in 2017. From 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 31, the crew from MIX 104.1 FM will help to get the party started with dance tunes spun by DJ Karson from MIX’s morning drive team and hosted by Afternoon Drive’s Gregg Daniels.

The Blink! Dance Party will be happening outdoors, near the holiday tree in the South Market of Faneuil Hall Marketplace adjacent to Marketplace Center. And when the dance party ends, see the first daily showing at 4:30 p.m. of the spectacular Blink! show at the tree where more than 350,000 LED lights that dance seamlessly to holiday music from the Boston Pops.

“Rock around the Christmas tree and have your photo taken on the Blink Ice Bench as your favorite DJs from Mix 104.1 put you in the holiday spirit at Faneuil Hall Marketplace,” said Carol Troxell, President of Faneuil Hall Marketplace Merchants Association. “We invite everyone to join us and show off your dance moves as we usher out 2016 and welcome in 2017. It’s also a great place for families, friends and everyone else to kick off your New Year’s Eve festivities.”

There will also be special prizes including your chance to register to win a family four pack to a New England Ski Mountain. In addition to the Blink! Dance Party, Faneuil Hall Marketplace is the place to be to shop, dine and experience “THE ICE,” a collection of interactive family-friendly ice sculptures, including the Blink! Ice Bench and Finding Dory, plus live street performers. Enjoy all the Marketplace has to offer from the 100 retail shops and pushcarts, to the 11 restaurants and pubs and the 30 food colonnade merchants.

On New Year’s Eve the Marketplace is offering an eclectic lineup which includes musicians Brian Stankus, Natalie Sellers, Boston Piano Kid, Jared Hanrahan and Joe Skahan and variety performers Jason Escape, Kilted Colin and The Red Trousers Show. Don’t miss the must-see holiday light and sound show Blink! daily from 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm until Jan.1, 2017. Blink! is a state-of-the-art light and sound extravaganza featuring more than 350,000 LED lights that dance seamlessly to holiday music from the Boston Pops.
